Growth Mindset
Why is the growth mindset so important?
Growth Mindset is important, because a student that grows his/her own learning is more powerful than a student that has a fixed mindset waiting for the teacher to grow their knowledge.
How will you incorporate the four steps?
I think there is two ways to think about this. How do I create a growth mindset for myself? or How do I create a growth mindset for my students?
I would create a growth mindset in myself by approaching every failure with resolve. Every failure is an opportunity to grow, every setback is an opportunity to get ahead, and every personal crisis is an opportunity to create a personal breakthrough.
Students are more difficult, because you have the added attribute of peer pressure. I think by creating a relationship with a student is key to breaking the peer pressure and letting them become a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset.
How will you communicate the message of "yet" to your others?
The best way to deliver a message like this is through mentorship. If I can't fail, than you can't fail. I believe if you create the relationship with a student. This strategy becomes stronger with the relationship.

When and how often will you promote the growth mindset?
I pull students on Wednesdays for extra help. I am going to show them a video every week and have a discussion after it is finished.
How will the growth mindset influence or impact the way you approach your work in this course and the program?
It already has. I continue to grow. I have trouble staying focused on the goal, but I continue to push myself to do better. Every activity I get done is a step towards the future.
