Covid -19 - A teacher's perspective - Part One

My school district came up with a plan where students had a choice between continuing through online learning and doing a paper packet that would continue what they were learning before they left school.

My prediction was that about 80% of my students would not participate in the last part of the 2020 school year. I felt like we would have students that would do the work and progress, but the majority would not do anything or the bare minimum. I also thought it would be difficult for students to communicate with teachers and administrators.

My school district came up with a plan where students had a choice between continuing through online learning and doing a paper packet that would continue what they were learning before they left school. The split initially was about 60% online and 40% paper packets. This varied throughout the course of the Covid-19 crisis.
