Covid-19 - A Teacher's Perspective - Part Three

The biggest thing I got out of this crisis is that technology is important to all students teachers, and administrators. Communication will happen regardless of us being at home or at school. Communication was a vital part of keeping students connected to material and their classes.

The phycological effect of the crisis was the most eye opening part of the entire experience. Students who normally come to school as an escape from the day to day in their lives were now forced to try and teach themselves through that day to day. Some students were able to cope through these challenges, but others just gave up in the end. I experienced a level of anxiety that opened my eyes that maybe I am not ok with just sitting in the house for months without the everyday work environment. I began to unconsciously pick at my back creating an infection that I had to go to the doctor twice for.

I hope that we come back in the fall in some shape or form to help me get back to the norm.
